iOS 6 Beta 3

if your running iOS 6 today your in for a bit of a treat, beta 3 is available! and via an OTA (Over the air) update. Although there are only a few visible changes in the front end we are sure that there is a lot changing in the backend of iOS 6 with this update.

Noticeable changes include:

• Safari now has glyphs for bookmarks, reading list, and history instead of worded labels
• VIP Lists and VIP Inbox is available even on iPhone 3GS with the iOS 6 beta 3 update. It is not clear Apple will remove it in the final version as iOS 6 preview page still says that the VIP Lists and VIP Inbox will be available on iPhone 4 or later. Thanks Mark for the tip!
• New icons in the Mail app for Junk, Trash, and Archive
• iMessage on iPad Now Gives Option to Add Phone Number for Unified Messaging
• App logo is now displayed next to each app under Privacy Settings
• Answer and Decline buttons are back in FaceTime when receiving a call
• Maps gets more detail when navigating.

iOS 6 Beta 2 is now available for download. If you are an existing iOS 6 user you can download it by going to settings>general>software update. If you are a new user you will still have to do the manual instal of iOS 6. Dont forget to register your UDID number with us first though! If you dont your device wont allow iOS 6.

1. Plug in your iOS Device.
2. Open iTunes
3. Click on your iDevice in the left side bar
4. In the middle portion, click on ‘Serial Number’ until it changes to ‘identifier (UDID)’
5. Go to the Edit menu and then click Copy.
6. At this point you will need to pick a device and pay for the activation on the site.
7. IMPORTANT>> At this point it is strongly recommended that you perform a full backup
8. Update your iPhone using iTunes. To do this, connect your iPhone to your computer, click on the Restore button with the Option (Mac) or Shift (PC) key pressed. Select the iOS 5 IPSW file from the location you downloaded it to.
9. Wait until it upgrades. A new activation screen will appear.

Activations will last a year from the day of activation. this means if you buy a slot today your activation will be valid until 12th June 2013.

If you are activating more than one device you’ll have to send us an email with your various device numbers.

After much anticipated wait iOS 6 is being unveiled today saying we are excited would be an understatement! Stay tunned for more updates.

As we all know an iPad 3 is coming. Rumour has it is been found running an early version of iOS 6 which could mean that when the iPad 3 gets announced so will iOS 6. Interesting.

As we all know Apple has the something “you want to touch” event coming up on the 7th. We have a very good belief that this will include the newest iteration in their iOS line. Namely iOS 6. Although it only seems like yesterday when iOS 5 was coming out Apple is making a point of rolling out updates thick and fast so that they will always be ahead of the competition.
